While wearing a bra, place the tape measure around your rib cage just below the bust under the bottom bra edge. Make sure the tape is comfortably snug, and take your measurement to the fullest inch. Add 5 inches to that measurement to determine your bra size. If the total measurement is an odd number, then round up to the next number to determine bra size. If the total measurement is an even number, then that is your bra size.

How to Properly Put On Your Bra
First, put your arms through the straps and on to your shoulders. Lean forward and let your bust fall into the cups naturally. Fasten the hook at the position most comfortable (usually the first hook). Adjust the straps so that the weight of your bust is supported and the back of your bra is level with the front. The level of your bust should be positioned halfway between your shoulder and your elbow. If it is below the halfway point, than shorten the straps. If it is above the halfway point, than lengthen the straps.
Test the Fit by Raising Your Arms
The bra should sit comfortably snug on your rib cage. If you raise your arms straight above your head, the bra should not move or lift up and away from your body. If it does, the rib cage size may be too large and or the cups too small.
Coverage
Your breasts should be completely covered inside the cups of the bra. If you are spilling out the front and sides, the cups may be too small or the straps too tight.
